Today 20 of our Y7 and Y8 students tackled their Level 3 Bikeability Training. Super Feedback from the Cyclist Training Ltd. They were full of praise in terms of both behaviour, attitude and effort in today’s training of our students.
Well done to everyone involved!
We would like to shout about some positive achievements made by our students in writing this term.
A staggering 112 students entered our Young Writer’s Competition which was based upon creating a 100-word story on the topic ‘Twisted Tales’. They could either use an existing villain or create their own and twist their tale. The entries were amazing!
57 of those entries were published in Young Writer’s latest book ‘Twisted Tales’. As a school we have had the most students enter and get published than any other school! A huge achievement!
If you want to read any of these brilliant stories, a copy will be in reception when we come back after Easter with all of our students work in, along with the other 3 books our Academy students have been published in. What an amazing result!!!!!

As part of our work with the Parish Council, our Year 9 Community Ambassadors began their work helping with the upkeep and maintenance of Leddy’s Field in Audley. After a brief tour of the site, they set to work sanding down and painting the metal on the newly refurbished benches, did a litter pick and began construction on a dry hedge to encourage wildlife. It was a busy afternoon and we must thank Mr Ian Rowley from the Parish Council for his help and support on the day. We look forward to continuing the work after Easter.
